Our Coorparoo project saw us collaborating with Frame Architectural and Blok Design Co. to bring a four-bedroom, multi-living-space home to life.
The owners of this Coorparoo home decided to knock down their previous residence and start with a clean slate, choosing to build their dream home in a fusion of Hampton and Queenslander styles. They engaged Lachlan Joseph from Frame Architectural to design the home and worked with interior designers from Blok Design Co. to choose their selections, including taps, tiles, carpets and flooring. We were in charge of construction, bringing their unique vision to life.
The end result is a two-storey, four-bedroom house that follows a light and bright aesthetic. Upstairs, a spacious main bedroom is accompanied by a walk-in robe and ensuite, as well as an expansive living room.
Downstairs, there is an open plan shaker-style kitchen with freestanding stove, leading to a large butler’s pantry with an extra sink. We worked with PGF Cabinetry to design and build the kitchen, opting for luxurious details such as Calacatta Nuvo stone benchtops from Caesarstone. The kitchen opens up into the dining and living room, which in turn, opens out to a deck and pool area. The downstairs area also includes a media room and office.
The deck coming off the kitchen and living area was constructed using the HardieDeck system and painted white, as the clients wanted to avoid long-term timber maintenance so opted for this easy-to-maintain product. The deck is the perfect entertaining area, with an outdoor kitchen including barbeque, stone benchtop and outdoor sink.
The deck leads out to the pool area. The pool has been heated for year-round enjoyment, while the surrounding area has been paved in travertine pavers in a French-lay pattern, with frameless glass pool fencing.
Other features include a full security system and ducted air conditioning, with an Airtouch 3 wifi-zone control system. This allows our clients to regulate the temperature of separate zones in the house using an app on their mobile phone, ensuring year-round comfort.
All furniture and styling was completed by Blok Design Co., forming the perfect accompaniment to the overall design.
